Drawing from her past as an attorney for hospitals and nursing homes, under the pen name Terri
Kay, she is the author of the murder mystery series, A Promise of Revenge.
She designed this crime story series for entertainment and education. Apart from the books, she
offers book guides for group discussions. Presently, she is expanding the guides to include
resources for coping with problems like those facing the characters in her books. Topics
covered in the expanded guides will include domestic abuse, child bullying and other social
problems.
About the series, A Promise of Revenge
A Promise of Revenge by Terri Kay, is the multiple book saga of two feuding families. This
crime story series is geared toward murder mystery enthusiasts, especially folks who love books
series. Also, soap opera fans enjoy the series because of the interaction between multiple
characters and the unexpected twists The series combines medical and legal subplots as key
characters face tough questions, and react surprisingly. Repeatedly, the characters must decide
what each would be willing to do for a family member, and what each would do if he believed
that he wouldn't be caught.
A Promise of Revenge contains no sexually explicit scenes or profanity, and is suitable for a
wide audience of readers. Each book can be read apart from others in the series. As a bonus, at
the end of each book, readers get a sample preview of the next book. .
The first book in the series, entitled A Promise of Revenge (The Death of Javier) is the chilling
story of the mystery and intrigue that occur when the paths of a stripper, a stalker, a medical
student and an all-American girl cross. This book also contains a mystery within the mysteries,
namely, the prophecy of an old woman. The prophecy starts in this the first book of the A
Promise of Revenge series and continues to twist its way through at least the next two books.
In the second book in the series, entitled The Secret at St. Sans, the characters find out the hard
way that blackmail and black widows can be hazardous to one's health. The Secret at St. Sans is
the gripping tale of the drowning death of a greedy son-in-law, in which most clues lead to his
ruthless father-in-law. At the same time, characters from the first book, A Promise of Revenge
(The Death of Javier) continue to work through unsolved mysteries.
Terri Kay's next book in the series, entitled "More than Guilty" will be completed in 2005.
