SAMPLE QUESTIONS FOR YOUR BOOK GROUP DISCUSSION
The following scenarios and questions are offered as suggestions for group discussions.  

1.        Joseph and Anna Palpietro are the first significant married couple in the book.  R.J. and Eva Tanner are another significant married
couple in the book.  
a.        How did these couples handle problems?  
b.        What would you do if you faced these problems?

2.        You meet a person that you are really attracted to.  You introduce a friend to your dreamboat.
a.        Would your tell your friend bad things about your dreamboat to try to get your dreamboat for yourself?
b.        What would you do?
c.        What would you do if you believed that you wouldn't be caught?

3.        If your mother were dying, and her final wish was for a grandchild, would you present a baby to her, indicating that the child is yours
but knowing that it wasn't yours?
a.        Would you bypass the legal process to get a baby?
b.        What would you do?
c.        What would you do if you believed that you wouldn't be caught?

4.        You have a big elaborate wedding.  Later on that same day, in a drunken rage, your spouse beats you up.  
a.        On your wedding day, would you tell someone?
b.        Would you leave your spouse immediately?
c.        Would you give your spouse another chance?
d.        What would you do?
e.        What would you do if you believed that you wouldn't be caught?

5.        You are pregnant and unmarried. The baby's father is in college working towards a medical degree.  You want to marry the baby's
father, but he doesn't seem to want to make a commitment.  You want to marry for love.
a.        Would you keep the pregnancy secret from the baby's father?
b.        Would you tell him if he were breaking up with you?
c.        Would you tell him if you were not planning on keeping the baby anyway?
d.        Would you fight to keep him?
e.        What would you do?

6.          Your girlfriend tell you she is pregnant.  You know that she was sexually active before you started dating her.  Your mother wants a
grandchild, and you are almost, halfway, kind of thinking that you want to settle down.  
a.        Would you marry this girlfriend?
b.        If paternity tests were not available, would you marry this girlfriend?
c.        Would you marry this girlfriend if you had another girlfriend?
d.        What would you do?

7.        You are working like a dog at a low-paying job.  You can't afford to give your kids the basic things in life, let alone anything special.  
You suspect that your son is stealing from a local grocery store, but you have never caught him doing it, nor has the store called you.
a.        What would you do?

8.        You are working like a dog at a low-paying job.  One of your sons needs corrective surgery.  The surgery isn't absolutely necessary to
his health, but would make his life easier.  You have applied for program after program for help, but so far, nothing has happened. You
watch your son becoming more depressed and more desperate about his condition.
a.        What would you do?
b.        What would you do for your son if you believed that you wouldn't be caught?

9.        You have a shady past that you are ashamed of, but you have worked hard to establish a new reputation.  No one, including your
spouse, knows the details of what you have done.  Years after you are settle into your new life, someone learns of your past, and sends you
a letter demanding money for silence.
a.        What would you do?
b.        What would you do if you believed that you wouldn't be caught?
