About the Author. . .

Julie A. Bankston
was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  She is a
Licensed Social Worker/QMRP by profession.  She has a Bachelor's Degree
in Social Welfare, and a Master's degree in Education-Family Studies.

If the scenes of Africa appear authentic in her novel
Valley Experiences, that's
because Julie served as a Peace Corps volunteer in East
Africa--Tanzania--for three years. Julie has traveled throughout various
African countries both west and east.  She says her heart belongs to Africa,
but her love belongs to her family in America.

Julie asserts that her writings are words of hope, peace, and love, channeled
through the light that comes from God and her guardian angels, which
inspires her to share her thoughts and feelings with others.

Other books by Julie include
Gems Wrapped in Love, Come In and Pumpkin
and the Pink Bible

Valley Experiences by Julie A. Bankston

Book Description

Amy Jewels reflects on her life as she prepares to enter the door of no return.  She begins to put the
puzzle of her life together by writing down her memories and experiences in letters to her best friend.
Amy now is able to realize why events throughout her life have happened the way they did-not to
cause her grief and pain, but to give her knowledge and strength to conquer the next valley and peak
in her life.  All of these valleys and peaks seem to have aged her like a very, very fine wine as she
passed through her
Valley Experiences.

Valley Experiences by Julie A. Bankston, begins as follows:

The Hospital

Dear Kisana,

One never begins to think of the end of
one's journey on earth until we're in a
situation that causes us to realize that this
may be our door of no return.

Every time I come into the hospital, this
is how I feel -- that I might be walking
through my door of no return.  Now, I'm
always prepared to walk through this door of
no return -- since I came to know God and to
understand my valley experiences.

Therefore, I am writing to you about my
valley experiences, and to hope that they will
help you to understand your own life -- and
to fully understand me!

Love,

Your Valley Angel
